TS School Holidays 2021 - 22 - Telangana Gov. Official Details

The year 2020-21 is almost at the end and the celebrations of the new year 2021 have already begun. Telangana school students are rejoiced with the Telangana School Holiday Academic Calendar 2021-22 that was announced by the Government of Telangana State (TS).

The Government declared the optional and general holidays list for the year 2021-22 and urged all the educational institutions in Telangana to adapt their organisation’s academic calendar according to the prescribed school holidays list.

Last year, the Government mandated Telangana schools with an academic calendar 2020-21 where it encouraged institutions to issue holidays on some compulsory occasions and holidays. And did the same that previous year too. The holidays list 2021-22 is almost similar to that of the list 2020-19.

TS school summer holidays 2021

Telangana govt has declared summer holiday from April 27, 2021 to May 31, 2021 for all public & private schools and junior colleges due to Covid-19 pandemic and would being reopen from June 1, 2021.

Dasara is the biggest festival in India. Dasara holidays for schools in Telangana generally last for 12 days. Usually from 03 October to 15 October and this 2021 year is no exception.

Christmas Holidays begin on 24 December every year and usually end on 26 December the same year (3 days). Sankranthi (a festival that Telangana prides on) Holidays in the State last for 5 days starting from 12 January to 16 January every year (5 days).

Advisable School Timings

On general terms the TS Government asked high schools to maintain the school timings from 09.30 AM and 04.45 PM. In case of Twin Cities (Hyderabad and Secunderabad) the High School Timings shall be 08.45 AM to 04.00 PM.

For upper primary schools (Class VI to VIII) advisable timings are from 09.00 AM to 04.15 PM. In case of Twin Cities timings shall be maintained from 08.45 AM to 04.00 PM.

Primary Schools (Class I to V) timings are from 09.00 AM to 04.00 PM and for schools in Twin Cities timings shall be from 08.45 AM to 03.45 PM.
